Exhibitions among the books

Our gallery hosts exhibitions from different artistic fields — drawing, print, photography, and paper-based work — so a visit for a novel can end with a quiet look at the wall.

Openings are announced by email and in the shop window. Works shown are often available to purchase; ask at the counter.

A varied programme of oficinas — practical sessions where reading, making, and conversation meet.

Children’s story hours

Read-aloud sessions in the children’s corner, followed by a simple paper activity. Places are limited — reserve by email.

Reading club

One book, once a month

The Livraria Calçada reading club is informal and participatory. We meet every month to discuss a title chosen in advance. Anyone may join; entry is free, subject to available seats.

Participants receive a 10% discount on the club title when purchased with us. To join, email [email protected] — we will send the current book and the next date.
