2. Orders
Orders placed by email are subject to confirmation and available stock. We may suggest alternatives if a title is unavailable. Payment may be made by MB Way or bank transfer as indicated when we confirm the order. Free shipping applies to orders above €15; otherwise €1 per shipment within mainland Portugal unless otherwise agreed.
3. Blind Book Parcels & gift cards
Blind Book Parcels are selected by our team from a stated minimum value. Gift cards are redeemable for books and related goods in shop according to the loaded value and remain subject to stock.
4. Events & reading club
Gallery openings, workshops, and reading-club sessions may require registration. Free entry events are limited by seats. Workshop fees, if any, are stated when you book. Club participants receive a 10% discount on the selected club title purchased with us.
5. Intellectual property
Texts, layout, and original photography on this site belong to Livraria Calçada or their respective owners. You may not copy them for commercial use without permission. Book covers and titles remain the property of their publishers and authors.
6. Liability
We take care to keep information accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted site availability. To the extent permitted by Portuguese consumer law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the site.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Consumers may also benefit from mandatory protections of their country of residence where applicable.
